Chapter 1:
Licensing and Membership
All riders participation in a MonDak sanctioned event must either have a current membership or must purchase a day pass. Membership applications and day pass forms can be obtained from the MonDak Secretary or on the MonDak website.
A membership is $30.00 (prior to the first race of the season) and $35.00 (after) for riders and non-riders. This membership allows one vote per member at the general meetings. A day pass is $20.00 a race.
Any racer under 18 years of age attending a race without a parent must bring a notarized statement from their parent, giving them permission to race. Forms can be obtained from the MonDak Secretary or website.
Chapter 2
Fees
Gate fees will be $7.00 per person.
The daily race fees are as follows (to be paid in U.S. funds):
$25 for the Pro/Amateur, Outlaw Open and Quads.
$20 for Beginner, and Women’s.
$20 for 50, 65, and 85 classes.
No refunds will be issued after a rider has practiced or if the rider is disqualified for any reason.
Chapter 3
Classes
It is the rider’s responsibility to register in the proper class.
Mondak Board members have the discretion to move up a rider within the first 3 races if they see fit. The rider will acquire last place points in the class they move to. They will not carry any points from the other class.
If a rider moves themselves up a class they don't take any points with them to the class they moved up to.
Riders must present a copy of their birth certificate in all age limiting classes (except Veteran 30+).
All ages under 18 must be notarized before the first race of the season.
A rider’s age on January 1st will determine their age for the year.
51 PW Jr (Air Cooled) and 51PW Sr (Liquid cooled): Limited to riders 8 years of age or younger.
* Maximum engine displacement of 51cc, with over bore allowed only to the overbore size piston available from original manufacture of the particular bike and engine.
* Maximum wheel size is 10-12 inches.
* Or appropriate 4-stroke bike with the same size wheel as class permits.
* A 51 PW Sr (liquid cooled) rider can race that class and can also race the 65 class on their 50cc bike.
65 6-12 years:These classes are limited to riders within the listed age bracket.
* Maximum engine displacement of 65cc with overbore
allowed only to the over bore size piston available from the original manufacture of that particular bike and engine.
*Or appropriate 4-stroke bike with the same size wheel as class permits.
*A 65cc (10-11) rider can race that class and also race the 85 (Beginner) class on their 65cc bike.
85 Beginner and 85 Amateur 7-15 years:These classes are limited to riders within the listed age brackets.
* Maximum engine displacement of 90cc. 2-stroke: 151 cc 4-stroke.
* Maximum wheel size is 19 inches.
Mini Open 15 years and under: This class is limited to riders within the listed age bracket.
*Minimum engine displacement of 65cc.
*Maximum engine displacement of 112cc 2-stroke and 151cc 4-stroke.
*Maximum wheel size of 19 inches.
125 Beginner and Pro/Amateur:
* Engine displacement: 2-stroke must not be more than 144cc or less than
115cc. 4-stroke must not be more than 251cc or less than 155cc.
250 Pro/Amateur:
* Engine displacement 2-stroke must be 250cc. 4-stroke must be 450cc.
Outlaw Open:
* Engine displacement must at least meet the minimum of 115cc 2-stroke and 250cc 4-stroke.
* Rider must participate in the Amateur level 125 or 250 class.
Open Beginner:
*Minimum 80cc 2-stroke and 150cc 4-stroke.
Veteran 30+:
* A Veteran rider must be 30 years of age or older.
* Engine displacement must at least meet the minimum of 125cc class requirements listed above.
Women’s Open:
* Limited to riders 8 years of age and up.
* Minimum Engine displacement of 65cc.
Quads:
* Limited to riders 16 years and older.
* All Quads must have an approved tether switch before racing. If rider does not have tether cord, they will not be allowed to race.
* A maximum of 50 inches wide full nerf bars will be required.
* This class will be a money class.
* Number plates required on front and rear and must be clearly visible.
*If number of riders in a class is low at any race, the MonDak Board of Directors may combine classes for daily racing, but will score separately for year-end points.
Chapter 4
Points
The following point system will be used in figuring the daily and year-end results. These points will be awarded on a per moto basis:
If a rider does not finish a moto but completes at least half of the total laps ran (if odd number of laps, add 1 lap and then take half), they will earn last place points for that moto.
In the case of a tie at the end of the daily race, the winner shall be determined by the better finish in the second moto.
DNF- Did Not Finish. If a rider does not complete at least half of the laps, the rider will receive a DNF, which is equal to 1 point.
DNS-Did Not Start. If a rider signs up but does not race, they will receive and DNS for each moto, which is equal to 1 point.
State points accumulation for year-end finishes will be recorded by the MonDak Secretary.
If any Beginner rider accumulated 65 percent of total possible point for the year and has 4 Moto wins, that rider will be moved up a class the following year, unless approved by the MonDak Board of Directors.
Any riders wishing to change classes must get prior approval of the MonDak Board of Directors and they must notify the Secretary of such change.
Chapter 5
Awards
*Daily awards will be provided for ALL riders in the 51 and 65 classes; 1st through 5th in all other classes, except 125 Pro/Amateur, 250 Pro/Amateur, Outlaw Open, and Quads.
*Daily cash awards will be awarded on an overall finish in the Pro/Amateur, Outlaw Open and Quad classes using the following pay scale on 100% percent payback.
PRO, Outlaw Open & Quad Cash 100% Payback
(Paid Per Moto)
*Year End Awards; All classes will be awarded 1st through 5th assuming a rider attends 50% of sanctioned races.
*Money Class payout; will be a % of amount left in Mondak after all responsibilities are taken care of.
Chapter 6
*Timed Motos
All motos will be timed as follows:
*This Schedule will be run at each race for the 2010 Race Season.

Chapter 7
Equipment
MonDak Board of Directors may hold random technical inspections of a rider’s equipment and machine being raced. Any infraction found must be corrected before the rider will be allowed to race.
Exhaust silencers are required. Exhaust systems and pipes cannot protrude beyond the length of the machine’s rear tire.
No components are allowed to be wired or taped to the machine.
Kickstands must be removed.
Numbers will be assigned to riders when they receive their membership. There will only be one number per rider in the MonDak organization.
All members must display their assigned numbers on all three number plates on their machine. In addition, each rider shall be encouraged to display their number on his helmet, jersey or chest protector.
Only numbers are allowed on the number plates. DO not overlap numbers. Any number plates that are not readable must be corrected or that rider will not be scored.
Day Pass riders need to place an X after their number on all three number plates. Riders without an X will receive a DNF for that Moto.
All riders must wear an approved (current DOT standards) helmet.
All riders must wear approved boots.
All riders must wear eye protection and full arm coverage.
Chapter 8
Race Rules
The rules in this book apply only to sanctioned events.
Anyone participating in or associated with a MonDak sanctioned event shall abide by and will be bound to these rules.
RULES STIPULATED:
All protests must be filed, in writing, to the track referee within 30 minutes of the posting results of the event in question. The referee along with the MonDak Board of Directors will then make a decision, which will be considered final. Any protest involving teardown of a race machine will require a $200 fee paid by the protesting party. If the rider protested is illegal, that party protesting will get their $200 back. If they are running legally, the rider protested will get the $200.
No one except riders officially entered may ride or practice on any track on the day of a race until after the day’s racing in over.
No rider may improve their position by leaving the course. The penalty for doing so will result docking the rider one lap per offense for that moto.
No rider shall ride or act in a manner which will endanger other riders, officials, of the public. Any violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
The use of intoxicants or drugs by any rider before of during races is prohibited.
Any misconduct by a rider, pit crew, or anyone associated with them, will result in disqualification for that rider.
Any rider that switches bikes and bike numbers during the race day must first report the number change to the scorekeepers before racing. If the rider fails to report and still races without acknowledgement, the racer will be scored in last place.
If a race is stopped for any reason, the following restart policy will apply:
-Less than half the time completed, restart the race.
-Over half the time completed, the race will be considered finished.
A rider will be started backwards if they practice in the wrong class without permission, cause a restart, or show up late for registration.

Chapter 9
Promoter Responsibilities
Race Dates: Promoters must submit requests for race dates to the secretary no later than December 31.
Insurance: Promoters must carry spectator liability insurance listing MonDak as a rider.
Ambulance:Promoters are required to have a state approved licensed ambulance service with at least two qualified personnel for immediate transportation, before practice will begin.
Track Requirements: Tracks must be a minimum of 30 feet wide. All tracks are encouraged to have a metal starting gate. Promoter will take necessary measures to control dust throughout the day by watering during the races.
Sanctions and Fees: Promoters must pay a $50.00 sanctioning fee per race. Promoters must also pay MonDak $5.00 per registered participating in each class.
Gate Fees: Promoters will charge $7.00 per person for gate fees.
Awards- Trophies and Cash:Promoters must provide cash awards for riders in the following classes: Outlaw Open and Quads (See pay scales in Chapter 5).
Promoters must provide daily awards for riders in all other classes. Minimum daily awards are as follows:
51 and 65 classes = ALL RIDERS
All other classes = 1st through 5th
Adult Mini Class: If promoters desire, they may hold an adult mini race some time throughout the day. This class is for riders 18 years and older. Promoters are not required to provide awards for this class.
Flaggers: Promoters must provide a sufficient number of flaggers for all areas of the track. They must also provide a finish line flagger and 3 people to work the starting gate.
Registration:Registration will be from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. local time. If a rider signs up late, they will be started backwards for their first moto. Promoters may hold an early registration on Saturday evening.
Riders Meeting: Promoters will hold a riders meeting by 7:40 a.m., with practice starting immediately after the riders meeting.
Pit Riding: Riders are to be in first gear only to and from the track. Absolutely no other pit riding will be allowed other than to and from your motos. If a rider breaks the pit-riding rule, they will be disqualified for the day.
Practice: All Promoters and Promoting Clubs are required to hold an organized practice session of approximately 8 minutes per group.
* The riding classes are to be divided into the following practice groups:
a.) All Quads
b.) All 250 and 450 Amateur
c.) All Beginner
d.) All 85’s
e.) All Outlaw Open and Vet’s
f.) All 65’s and Women’s
g.) All 50’s
Race Times: Races are the start no later then 10:00 a.m. local time.
Cancellations: If a race is canceled, there must be at least two weeks notification of the rescheduled race and it must be approved by the MonDak Board of Directors.
50 Track: If possible, promoters are encouraged to have a separate 50 track.
Probation: The MonDak Board of Directors may place promoters on probation if they do not comply with their responsibilities.
* A Promoter will be charged $50.00 for each score keeper and $20.00 for each sign-up person and flagger that they are short. That money will be given to the individual who fills the position for the day.
Race and Practice Schedule: The Secretary will provide the promoter with the schedule for the days practice and race order; any changes need to be addressed to the board members. If there is Schedule A and Schedule B. They will alternate each race. |
